HIDCL : perhaps the biggest blunder ever made .
Information that u get are always not correct. Herd HIDCL was something that could be next CIT in my early days. Thus invested Rs 330 on it.
Still unsold ...... waiting for a wild rise so that I can find a murga

Lesson learnt from SHAJA :
I purchased my first script on someones advice and that gave me good return.
This time someone sugested me to buy SAJHA. I had few money with me n market was woobing high. Therefore, without studying the company's financial condition and just checking the Market depth of that company , I just went after SAJHA at something around 430.
When I came home at evening, started to look at financial condition of the company and realised that company by any cost wasnt worth to invest 430 per share.
After 3-4 days I sold it fro around 415

NMB Bank :
NMB had just aquired Clean Energy Development Bank. There was hot news of bringing foreign strategic partner. Even it was planning to issue FPO. Its earning ratio was good. NPA level was satisfactory as well. Thus I went for 100 units of NMB @640 Sold 80 units @ 920. It was another sucess story as well.
Investment : Slightly above 64 thousand Sales Value : Around 74 thousand Profit : 20 units Bonus + 10000 Cash Holding period : Around 15 days

After selling my first script I asked few question to my self : 1. Why did I buy that script ?? --> somebody suggested me to buy so I bought it. 2. Why did I sell it ?? --> had profit of around Rs. 100 per unit, thus I sold it. 3. Was my target met on the transaction or not ?? --> No, coz my plan was to build capital and I hadnt done that at all 4. What shall I do then ?? --> Find a reason for purchasing a script, set target, sell it when ur target is met.
So once again I decided to Trade on TDBL with answers to my questions before purchasing
Reason to buy the script : Good perfomance, probablity of getting 100% Right Share ( Heard from trader's gossips at brokers station)
Target : Sell 80% of my holdings when the price reaches to that point where my total Investment would be "0"
This time bought 100 units @ Rs 330 sold 80 units @ 495 Holding Duration around 1 month Result : 20 stock at 0 Investment & Cash Profit of around 5000 Still have that 20 units of TDBL which will now be repalced with 45 units of Mega after completion of Merger process

Abhi ji, With current ipo allotment guildlines, you can never get decent number of shares. Once you gain enough confidence, get into secondary. Rightnow is the best time.

You might laugh!!! 3yrs ago, i bought physical document of alpine/bishwabikas/century/gaurishankar's shares from a relative in ~20k. we didn't re-register in my name, just i kept it with me all these days. and last december, i became aware of share market world and "RIGHT SHARE" THING. and, i forgot to fill-up for those right share which were published for those companies. i guess i lost some amounts when i didn't opt for right share UNKNOWINGLY. Still, i am in 6k profit. ( i think i will sell them directly using that relative. i won't re-register in my name to save transfer commision )

My First Investment: I started 3-4 yrs ago. Bought sicl 300 kitta @ 540 and sic 186@1450. Why?I was a damn rookie then, i purchased becasue sic was giving 100% bonus and sicl was giving 40%. My innocent start into secondary yielded most satisfaction so far. I made over 25 lakhs profit selling sicl and sic in its high day.

My First Investment : First Investment is something that everyone remembers for long time. Mine was TDBL (100 units @ Rs. 300 each). After opening my Dmat and trading account I regularly visited brokers office for about a week but was unable to figure out which stock to purchase. Finally as suggested by the very person who helped me opening Dmat account and trading account I purchased TDBL. (It was just an speculation as I was eager to know buying procedure) Later on after 2 weeks period I sold it for 390. Net profit was around 8500 that time .

@yackthung : I m trading through broker no 49 & 13.
You need to make payments in 3-5 days (Depends on credit period ur broker grants). You need to drop ur DMAT cheques within 3 days of ur Sales You will receive ur cheques within a week after ur sales
So it is advisable to pick ur broker near ur home or work place. If u do so, you dont need extra time visiting them. You can drop them on ur way

Try to look for a broker where someone of your personal relation works. That would make the process easy. If not then you can go with Broker no 59. I felt they are good because I have even traded 10 kitta or less many times with them and they have never underestimated small investor like me.

Decision for Investing :
My new years resolution in the year 2073 was to start investing. Knew some of the techniques of evaluating a particular company but never knew many things. Therefore, I was looking for an experienced Investor who could guide me in investment. I was ready to pay for his/her expertism. Fortunately, I found few friends in my twitter circle who guided me for opening a DMAT account and a trading account at brokers office. It was Jestha 2073 when I actually started to invest.

When I was small, I saw Mom filling IPOs those days but never understood what she was doing. Later when I joined CA course, I understood different terminologies of share market but never thought I would be an investor those days Would be glad if other members too share their experience of getting information of share market and how they understood the terminologies used in it. Lets make this tread interactive pals, share ur experience too
