Looks like I made a right decision, by applying 10kitta. नेपाल लाइफको एफपीओमा ४० अर्बदेखि ५० अर्ब हाराहारीमा आवेदन परेको प्रारम्भिक अनुमान - See more at: http://nepalipaisa.com/NewsDetail.aspx/NLIC/Nepal-Life-Insurance-Co.-Ltd./id/15543#sthash.x9RFzbil.dpufIt seems, most of the applier are of big category, since till third day, only 15billion were applied, There is a high chance, all small investor will get 10 kitta, at least 1/2 will get.

Is there any difference between applying for 10 shares or 30 shares assuming there will be a lottery for allocation?

depends, i believe we could get around 8-15% shares in fpo, so return could be 8-15%.
So what is the expected return from secondary market, both from NEPSE listed companies as well as keeping/buying NLIC at current price before FPO money returns.
