I didn't understand.
26 kitta were alloted to me in IPO. They announced 5% bonus. It didn't come to my Demat account when I dematerialized it in late 2017. And suddenly today I saw 2 ( only TWO ) bonus share from 8% dividend. Anybody knows can enlighten my knowledge please. 5% of 26 = 1.3. so, it should have been 26+1.3=27.3 And 8% of 27.3 = 2.18. so, should not my portfolio have atleast 29 share in total rather than 28? |

Dear Pariwartan Ji, and Shooting Star Ji,
Thank You Very Much for your time in writing some valuable comments in the thred, I am learning and yeah, that loss and the news of API made me Panic Before that, API made me greedy as well.. Didn't even have a second thought while submitting Buying Order to the Broker, And Yeah Broker, THAT BROKER, Played foul too, I shouldn't have bought if I had known it would be Rs. 821, the maximum high of the day, My mistake as well, should have limited the buying price.. However, now I am back with my old broker, Hope I could post some good news of how I recovered my Loss here in coming days, like Parwartan Ji, I work to make this my first and last loss... Thank You Again... |

Dear Asharav!
Sorry to say you look too panic as well as to greedy! Haste is waste! Relaxed !!! Have patient !! Though Im new but have booked nearly 40% profit within 10 months! I was also panic while I bought nbb and price started to fall gradually.. I bought @700 and price fall to 596 before book close! After bonus adjustment its price went further down to 400 from 473... After 7 months wait I dumped nbb in loss first portion@500 last portion @485 and I made almost Rs.30,000 loss (excluding bonus the loss was 70000) The next day I sold nbb started jump up to 550 but the price of sicl stay around my purchase price!Again it made me distressed ! But as days went I recover my loss in nbb by selling sicl....still I have bonus of sicl and nbb! It was the greatest loss in nbb! It was my story..... Now about API ...I do not hold it....even I did not fill the form for IPO.. I still do not know about fundamental but investers used to be crying on Neupane Group....hydro within family.....family business.....ill people.. But looking 3/4 days trading up Api ...its settled now in the range 680-700 . It will hover around that for few weeks.. I think so you did good stop loss. I suggest you not to bargain for 10-20 rupees ..you have already lossed 111 per kitta..let it be 130 or 90 whatever . It does not count much if you really want to through away. Again I say don't be too greedy to earn high..... You started to follow the rumour!!!!!!! Now for banking..!! Who makes turn....who is the supervisor for nepse ?? Commercial bank stared up for last two trading day. I think the Global Ime fund started to buy few stocks ...see another thred Sara hamal g also written this! But If you really want to go with commercial bank try to catch czbil @730 or below, coz it could reach 800 soon! Another my best script is sanima...try to catch it below @ 790...though I sold yesterday @781 to buyback picl. I strogly suggest you to buy mnbbl @870 or below....the defensive stock. You can go with fbbl and gbbl as well. Im chasing ngbbl to 800 ... But If I were you I would add few general insurance stocks... now they are in correction ...go with picl, sil, nil, lgil, nlg .... try just 100 kitta of picl @ 960...see the result within 10 days. Decide yourself... happy investment |

Selling gradually in installments even at some loss could be a better option.

Hi Ashrav. If you have the capacity to hold for a couple of months, I would hold till the right shares are announced. As a general rule, one should avoid buying stocks that have increased significantly in the course of just a few days unless you are trading very rapidly.
However, I would suggest that you keep a stop loss target, say perhaps of 650 or 700 below which you should sell if you feel nervous. However, if you have done your research and you feel that the stock is fundamentally strong, "you should be able to see your stock value decline by 50% without getting nervous. Else, you shouldn't be an investor" as Charlie Munger says. Most people lose money because they panic and sell in a loss. I do not know much about API fundamentals so I can only offer some general advice. The decision is yours. |

Please kindly suggest what needs to be done to recover the loss,
I have capacity to hold API for about 2 months if its price will rise by then, so kindly suggest if I should hold till API announces the right or sell it and go for other stocks. Also suggest me for good short term stocks for investment. Thanks in Advance. And nissan ji, I do not know the name of the share registrar of API and RHPC however it is in Thapathali, Trade Tower Building. ![]() |

ASHRAV ji...The great legendary investor Warren Buffet has said buy the stock when it is decreasing and sell it when is increasing. Since you have challenged Buffet theory you must bear loss. As the cleaver investor has already left the API stock after booking their profit small invester like us have no other options rather then thinking ''how did this happen".
