---Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat has today said in clear terms that the market will continue to rise in days to come.

“There is no reason for the market to fall, the market will definitely rise, the investors do not to be pessimistic,” Dr Mahat said talking to media persons following a function in the capital this afternoon.

The finance minister cited a number of strong reasons for the market to rise. He said that the government economy is moving ahead in a positive direction. Moreover, the finance minister, added that the companies listed at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (Nepse) have been proposing impressive dividends.

Though the finance minister said that correction is natural, he added that he has been concerned over the rapid fall in the market over the recent days.

Touching upon the concern of the investors that the central bank’s inconsistent policy and circulars have been affected the market and their confidence, Dr Mahat further said that he would be in a position to comment only after studying the directives.

At the same time, the finance minister urged the investors to be well informed before investing in the scrips considering the profitibiluty instead of being speculative and taking short-term position and following rumors.

“The market should have a steady growth,” he added.
