Neophyte Jee,
You can't sell the share just after the allotment. They have to distribute the certificate, the certificates needs to be verified by the share registrar. The company should list the share to Stock Exchange and then only the trading starts. But if you have the buyer with you, you can sell with mutual understanding. But that has to be traded later through stock exchange. This is what i know. If there is another process then experts please correct me. |

The investor of IPO are divided into two groups namely big investors for those who applied NRs 50,00 or more and small investors for those who apply below 50,000. Each IPO is allotted in the ratio of 40:60. For the small investors, who have applied less, those who got less than 10 kitta according to the allotment ratio are alloted by lucky draw. For, example if someone apply 90 kitta and the allotment ratio is 3%, then he will get around 2.9 kitta. But IPO can't be alloted below 10 kitta. Hence there will be lucky draw between them.
