Thank you very much for the info Tywin Lannister ji.
I am still searching banks for share loan. So far, I found NABIL with rate 8.5-10.5%.
Do you have any other preference(s)?

NB ji,
As per Clause 16 of Directive 2 of Unified Directive issued by Nepal rastrya bank you can get 50% margin loan on market price or 180 days average market price whichever is lower. And since all the banks have their own product paper on Margin lending it will depend on bank to bank on how a margin call is made however as per unified directive 10% reduction in price, the bank will not be forced to make a margin call For example If you have say 1000 shares of NIB whose price is 800 right now SO maximum loan that may be allowed for you is (assume 180 days average price is 900) 50% of Lower of 1. 800*1000= 800,000 or 2. 900*1000= 900,000 Your loan will be 50% or 800,000 ie 400,000 If the price falls from 800 to 720 no margin call will be made as there is only 10% reduction in price however if the price falls below that then margin call may be made.... Please ask your bank at what % reduction will the margin call be made. Also after the margin call you will normally have 35 days to either give the amount of margin call to the bank or deposit more shares.... if you fail to do so even after 35 days then bank have to sell your share within 7 days of end of such 35 day's notice. Hope this helps |

Dear bazarguru ji,
Liyeko bhaau bhanda kati % ghatepaxi aauxa margin call? I have a constant source of income which, I guess, will be able to handle the call, if any. I will also analyze other type of loans, eg. gold loan, mortgage loan etc. Which bank do you prefer for the loan, preferably share loan? Easy and quick processing, competitive rate etc. Thank you. |

Since it is a bearish(?) market, I'm thinking of taking share loan and invest in the secondary market.
Can anyone suggest me bank(s) giving hassle free and quick loan against my shares? Thank you. |
