Dear Pariwartan,

Since you are knowledgeable about the insurance sector, can you please guide me about why you recommend sil, nil and picl?

According to merolagaani, the EPS for nil for Q2 is 11.85 with a PE ratio of 91.48. I know that life insurance EPS can only be calculated after the audit in India, but this is not the case for non-life is it? Isn't that too over-priced then? One attraction of NIL is the 1:1 right share. But won't EPS further decrease after that?

Also, SIL also seems overvalued with a PE ratio of around 60.

Can you please guide me about these stocks?

Thank you,
Gundruk

Thanks Pariwartan and Samyak.

Samyak ji, if you had read my post, I clearly mention that I am a small investor who has nothing to gain by writing something false. And I do not own any Sindu at the moment.

The swap ratio I got from: http://www.sharesansar.com/nepal-bangadesh-bank-likely-to-enter-into-a-merger-process-with-reliable-dev-sindhu-bikas-bagmati-dev-bank/

If SS is publishing false news to increase the stock price, then it could be, tara maile garya chaina. And a correction from my end is the article says 1:65 not 70.

I do not believe in publishing false info to inflate stock prices. If you pick wisely, you do not need to resort to such dirty tricks. The market is a weighing machine in the long term, as Graham says.

Dear Gundruk!
I do not recommend you to buy this script in this price,Its already high!

But if you are crazy of development bank than I suggest you to buy 230 kitta of mnbbl and hold it for few years rather to go with sindhu.

But I heartly suggest you to go with one of nil,sil or picl bcz they are very cheap now!

Also, can you please suggest low-priced development banks in the same category that have very strong fundamentals? Being a small investor, I do not have much capital and cannot buy significant volumes of high price dev banks and micro finances. Thinking of investing 2 lakhs in 2-3 development banks with strong fundamentals and ones offering RS or BS. Please advice! :)

Dear Forum Members,

Do any of you have any in depth insights about Sindhu Bikas Bank? It's been growing steadily since 68-69, although the growth has not been exceptional or anything.

It's Q2 EPS stands at 17.38, with a PE ratio of 19.33. It's paid up (as of Q2) is 12.09 cr with a reserve of 1.9 cr. It has announced 1:1 right shares, after which there is a possibility that it will merge with NBB at a swap ratio of 1:0.70.

Do you think it would be a good long term buy at the moment?

Your advice is appreciated!
Gundruk
