Investors specially small investors do not compare on the basis of cash return they get. cuz they prefer bonus shares rather than cash and their expectation is the same from the company they invest on. If you're calculating cash dividend here then i believe NTC is the best. why does it stay in and around 600 then?? 6% return on investment is guranteed by the Bank's FD, then why to take risk if you have risk free investment for the same return. You are looking at atleast 15 to 20% return from the stocks and that's possible only through stock dividend. Banks currently are in the run for paid capital of 5 billion. Nabil's paid up is over 3 billion and NIB's paid up is just under 5 billion. Hence, I believe, we can expect more bonus shares from Nabil at least in this fiscal and the next, if not more. That's my sole assumption and in no way a counter to anyone's here in this forum.

looking at the dividend history nabil is the best, no doubt. bt in the downfall market people start to compare stocks on the basis of earning, which is good of nib too. if nib gives 40 cash investors will get 6% interest( nib @650) and if nabil gives 60 cash we get 3% interest( nabil @1650: current market price) now say which is more safe, nib or nabil? if market increases both stock price will increase. both are banking sectors. i too have stocks of both banks. bt my saying is nabil is not time to buy now. need to wait lower price than now

comparative data is not the only essential part for investing roverwins123 jee. there are other factors that need to be considered. What is the maximum price of both NIB and Nabil? Price of NIB to 1600 is realistic or price of Nabil to 2500 is?? Which is better in terms of Divident distribution rate? Consider yourself! This is only my view. I have shares of both the organizations but i prefer to hold Nabil more than NIB. That's my assumption.
