Yes, you made good observation. I think it is due to BT and loan pressure. The shares of good and popular companies are plenty in BT and loan against them is higher. Therefore, people are under pressure to clean up BTs and pay back of the loan. This has resulted in sharp fall in price of good and popular companies. However, when the dust settles down, these companies will move up quite fast.
