Recently I bought 100 units of NBB share from broker 28,but they did not say anything about D-mat account,if such account was necessary why they were silent about this,are they going to cheat me.what happens in this condition and sine how long such rules were come to effect,please mention the date. please kingly reply to this as well |

D mat a/c means dematerialization account. It is like a bank account to deposit your shares. One needs d mat account to purchase shares. You can open it with a pp size photo, one photocopy of your citizenship card and Rs 50.00 . Places to open d mat account are Ace capital, Siddhartha capital, all branches of Siddhartha bank, nabil investment banking etc.....

what is mean by D-mat account?how can one open this account and where to go for it? does D-mat account is necessary to get certificate for shares buying from secondary market? since when such law was come to effective?please clearify it in detain.
