(1200+50)/1.5 = 833.33 after right share
833.33 /1.2 = 694.44 after bonus

so 1 sicl = 694.44 cost price if it was bought at 1200

if bought at 1200, the actual cost of 1 share is 735.29 after right+bonus

1200+50=1250/1.7=735.29 (1 share purchased+0.5 right share+0.2 bonus share=1.7)

winner jee,

SICL provided 2:1 right share and then 20% bonus share. So, the calculation goes like this.

If you purchased 100 quantity of SICL, the adjusted price after right share will be 1200/1.5 = 800 if the book close price is 1200. And again for 20% bonus, the adjusted price will be 800/1.2 = 666.67.

Since you will get 50% right share, 50 share from right and 20% bonus means 20 from bonus share. Altogether you will have 170 kitta of SICL at present.

If you have purchased on 1200 then you average ;cost per unit now is only Rs. 666 and if you have purchased 100 share now you have 170. In average, you have 18% profit including the tax and broker commission. If you have sold around 950 last week, you might have around 42% profit. that is why I say, you should have the fixed exit plan.

If you have purchased it for long term investment, then put it in your locker and forget you have something as Nirmal Baba used to say. But you want some short term profit, then set some criteria and sell it once the criteria approaches. The price may rise or fall. You will be winning if you decide your entry and exit point.

I had purchased SICL when the price was just above 1200. When do you think I should plan for exit. I have evaluated that I should hold it for long term benefit, because short term holding will not give me aspired benefit. Therefore, I am still holding it. What do you suggest ?

SICL is the best non life scrip. Its board members and clients are reputed too. So if you want to buy non life SICL would be the best choice.

Yes of course, but you should have certain entry and exit plan. For example, if somebody bought SICL for 20% bonus around 900. They got good opportunity to sell SICL at around 950 after bonus. And today its price is 722. Hence, you must have entry and exit plan to reap the profit. Otherwise, lov le laav laav le bilaap vane jastai huncha.

It depends on the market. If the market goes in bullish trend now onwards, it is the best script and price to invest in current price but I can't say it will be profitable if the market goes bearish.
