I had written a post long time ago in 16 July 2012 about Janata and Tourism. The post is as below.
The comparative performance of both Janata and Tourism is: Janata - Paid up capital 200 corer Reserve 12 corer Profit till 3rd quarter 4.37 corer Profit: 2.18% Tourism - Paid up capital 64 corer Reserve 7.6 corer Profit till 3rd quarter 2.4 corer Profit: 3.75% Source: Janata, TDBL 3rd quarter reports, www. sharesansar.com TDBL has much better performance both in reserve and profit, but Janata is a commercial bank, which has some image advantages. So, I think, initially, the price may be quite close. http://www.nepalsharemarket.com/JambForum/Default.aspx?postid=37903#37903 As coincidence, I read today the following news item on sharesansar.com. "Janta Bank is planning a merger with Tourism Development Bank" http://www.sharesansar.com/viewnews.php?id=18320&cat=news Tourism with 123 net worth and Janata 108, I prefer to stay just as a Tourism share holder not that of a merged company. Not always, mergers are gifts from heaven. https://www.facebook.com/groups/531177483586163/ |
