Seeing its financial statement as of 3rd quarter, it looks that the EBL may shall provide 50-60% return from the profit of current fiscal year to its shareholders.

Bonus share percentage will be more this time. The company has to increase its paid up capital to maintain its CD ratio and to increase its market exposure among its competitors banks.

Scrip jee, tesaila ta EBL just issue 700 million debenture to increase capital adequacy ratio.

But the capital adequacy ratio is only 11.5% (approx). Need to maintain 11% if wants to declare cash dividends, so may be more of bonus share this year.

May be 30%bonus & 30% cash.

I agree with buffet jee logic. See still why SCB and EBL capital is too low and see why NIBL and NABIL capital is too high. Ownership pattern is the main reason. Both SCB and EBL has foreign investor who only want cash not bonus share. SO they can take profit in the form of cash dividend. If they get bonus share then they can't sell promoter share easily in the market like ordinary share.

Everest Bank capital is already enough as per the requirement of NRB. Since this banks has investment of foreign bank, they dont want bonus share only they need cash dividend so that they can take cash to their country.

Mero bichar ma Cash dividend bayak kehi dinna. Baru 50% cash expect garna sakincha.
