One more thing NRB do to solved never ending interest rate crisis: Forced merger.
Whom to forcefully merge? those who are charging high interest rate on loan.
- High rate means highest rate among loans not average.
- 5 banks with top 5 top highest interest rates on loan among banks should be forcefully merged.
- After 5 banks merger is started, then another 5 banks should be merged.
- This merger should go on till high interest rate on loan dont fall below 11 or till banks no dont fall below 10.
- First of all choose 5 banks, give them 3 months to find partner if they cant, then NRB should take over merger process then ask other banks their swap ratio offer.
Give share holders, one month to choose which partner they want to choose. If majority cant choose then start merger with potential partner which offer highest swapping ratio. If there is offer for acquisition, those who offer 5% more rate than for highest swap ratio for merger, choose acquisition instead.
