Thanks Rajesh ji for ur acknowledgement and suggestions. Well, u r true and I meant bonuses as the same (both bonus shares and cash dividends).
It's difficult to make right choices and it is through making mistakes I got to learn. Each mistake taught me a new mathematical lesson. So if any "Michaelal" says, "I think this company is better", ask him "Show me ur maths" even if he speaks of well renowned companies.
Nepali mindset is obsessed like the one shown in the movie Phir Hera Pheri "21 din me paisa double". Do the math and see that it means interest of 1738% which is overwhelming..
Therefore, one must study a company wisely, and comprehend where it is going than looking at the floorsheet.
This study is much much tougher but with some maths the picture becomes clear.
Anyways, we all can share our ideas and experiences, mistakes and corrections, and invest wisely through our hard earned sweats. 😉

I appreciate the way The futurist ji has answered with remarkable clarity and sincerity. One word I suggest to change in point no 1 - bonus, and it be replaced with dividend. Bonus shares are temporary magnets particularly seen in Nepali share market. It is broadly better dividend that matters. The same, I suggest in point no 2 too.
In this KALIKAL, it is too difficult to have insights The futurist ji has provided.

Although I've been trading and investing for quite a some time, I'm really enjoying the forum since last couple of weeks. @Sweta: here are a few tips to make some choices. 1. All companies are good as long as they provide better bonuses! 2. Stock value doesn't matter as long as they provide better bonuses. 3. Stock value can be overvalued or undervalued. In Nepal, the crow decides the stock value as people run after the news. But such a stock would also crash as soon as the news is known as a rumour. 4. Buy stocks that have stable values unless u r up for trading. Companies with fluctuating value provide better opportunities for trading (u can sell them at the opportune moment!). But such a game is risky too if u don't know how to play. 5. Invest in companies based on fundamentals and strengths, and not based on market value. (If u don't understand terms, don't worry, it's only a matter of time. I don't belong to this field either) 6. Companies that ask for huge amount of right shares will not be able to provide better bonuses next year unless it is able to make profits in the same ratio. (As the profit needs to be divided for greater number of listed shares) 7. Stay updated, and switch investment as priority changes. Lastly, happy investing! 😊

« Last edit by Ramesh N on Fri Jan 26, 2018 11:36 am. »
