hERO read from your textbook.. not from tablet/ipad, iphone, computers or any device that lets you access the internet. u can even change to a simpler mobile without net access. sometimes going back to stone age pacifies our mind and does the trick. stay with a peer who does the same and discusses the course matters till the exams r over. after that u should reward ur desire to build ur financial empire. best wishes...

i want to share something too.i am also addicted to sharesansar. i cant sleep without surfing it for a while. i comment rarely but now i found my own kind this time. it made me happy. maybe we should get together and help each other. who knows a great investor is among us. and i want thank our hERO for this bold step to speak openly. i think its good that we r addicted to an investment related website not a pornsite or gambling site. so in the long run it will do good. however to improve exam grades one should shutdown internet and refrain from newspapers unless relevant to one's course. j

i like your post. this resonates with me. i was also same situation, like you, some years back. we have lot in common. what i did to get rid of emotional side was to deeply focus on value investing approach. when you look at any company, look at there past records of earning and dividend payout. the thing that helps you sleep at night is knowing that dividend yield is more than return on cash that you would otherwise get from bank deposits. so look at EPS and Dividend yield. look for management of the company you are investing. look for the board of directors because you are trusting them with your money. look for company with competitive advantage and less competition. look for growth of whole industry not just a single company . when you like the industry then single out companies to analyze specifically.
Even you are not a major in finance or management, investing is stock market is good in many ways. it helps to protect your capital from inflation. |

Well I am student but not of finance and management. I am studying Bachelor. I somehow know the rules and tricks of nepal share market and i have some shares both from primary and secondary market. I somehow managed to earn some money as pocket money. I am studying with lots of investment and I dont need to bother for pocket money and tutiona fees and miscellaneous as it is provided to me ....enough one. Now I knew the basic rules, the terms, how the market runs and how to trade. Thats OK till here.
Beside this I have academic and career part which share market is definitely NO NO. But somehow I am addicted to this world. I always linger in the economic pages and sites like sharesansar and bizmandu and google those terms. probably I am mostly hampered in my academic as results in sem are geting poorer. I have my priority on books and learning environment but I linger on finance topics most of the times. I watch stock prices DAILY. Instead I should have looked my books. I am emotionally addicted here and want to get rid out? These forums are somewhat becoming like facebook to me. (( ani "dimagma i have words ----- bachhai ma paisa khelauna thaliyo bhaney padidaina....and padai is one of the top priorities...so i want to study )) So any experts/professionals I ask to get help from you. I wnat to learn from your experiences and knwoledge you invested in your life. How you switched off to other things in life and get ahead in academics?? HELP if you can provide some motivational and inspirational words to me. thanks |
