If the policy covers natural disasters (I am assuming this in-fact is there), this is natural disaster and should be paid out.

Sammerji. In film of Pares Rawol "Oh My God". The insurance company will not componsate the damage and loss cause by "Act of God". Does the insurance company will compensate this or not ?

As well as the BPCL is decreasing hugely does it will be wise decision if i bought it ?

Even if insurance covered everything, think of the loss in terms of more load-shedding, which in turn will increase the operating profit of all companies in Nepal.

Are both Sanima Sunkoshi (2.5MW) and Sanima Mai (22MW) by the same company?

The power house of Sanima Sunkoshi Project has been submerged. “The power house and all equipment are under the water,” said Tuk Prasad Paudel, director of Sanima Hydropower Company. Does anyone still think that this landslide effects would only put psychological effects on investors? I don't think so as the power house submerged in water means that the power house has turned to something not worth more than a kawadi.

karanji bank dubyo bhane nrb le bachaudaina.....nata insurance dubyo bhane insurance board le bachaucha.....another thing is that all the hydro project has insurance already done and these insurance are so big that insurance company does re insurance with foreign re insurance company.....so no loss to any company in Nepal.
And there is no effect to the sanima mai hydro till now for your information so u don't have to panic or even think about it.....this can be chance to grab sanima mai hydro power company share at lower price.

Yes it will effects its whole sector.
Because theres also probability to another the same case.

And the most important the hydropower stock is most dangerious than other sector worldwide because there are three main risk in it:

1. Flood
2. Landslide &
3. Earthquake which cannot stop by noone.

Till yesterday, it was believed that hydro is all flesh and no bone.. now, after this incident... there could be a few bones in between...

To rebuild, it could take 2 yr. so this could impact 40 percentage of the cost/revenue...

Sanima hydro and Sanima Mai Hydro are two different projects at two different locations. Therefore Sanima mai Hydro will not be affected by what has happened at Sunkoshi. This will also not affect Sanima bank at all as it has no investment in both the hydro power projects.

Sanima hydro and sanima mai hydropower are 2 different projects. The one whose shares are trading is sanima mai hydro and it is situated in mai khola in Ilam district. The flood in Bhotekoshi do not effect Sanima mai hydropower.

its sanima hydro sunkoshi, and current trading is of sanima mai hydro, about to lunch in operation project, doesn't affect much at all.

Surely decrease price of may be all hydro...

Now investors will stop making 10 yr prediction on hydro stocks....

That is why I only think of 2 yr max future regarding hydro....

Chilime will decrease as well because of this risk also until the project is complete,, in nepal, it will always take longer than predicted time to complete a project...

But I dont think sanima mai will come down to 200...
