Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has informed that the preparation of fully automated online share trading is in full swing. YCO Pvt Ltd, the software vendor which has been appointed to develop the necessary software by NEPSE last year is set to submit all the details regarding various modules of the software by mid-September.
"YCO will submit the detail modules of the automated online share trading by mid-September. The software developer will hand over the software by mid-November as per the agreement," said Murahari Parajuli, Spokesperson of NEPSE.

According to Parajuli, after the handover, trial phase of the software will start. If the trial phase concludes successfully without any troubleshooting, then the system will be implemented.

So what is the probability that we'll get fully automated online system by the dead line stated by NEPSE i,e jeth 18.

Dubosi7 ji, they have already included Share market modernization agenda in white paper. Now we are waiting for budget and govt policy (jest 11).

Things need to be checked :-

1. What kind of minimum bandwidth requirement the software need to have !! It need to work on low band width else it will be like you trying put an order and its circling round and round for the confirmation and last there is a server connection error.

2. What kind of operating system and kind of configuration it it requires.

3. whether in VPN module or DC Module or Lan Module or Internet Module ???

4. It will a Product owned by NEPSE completely and offered to clients directly through broker or broker need to Purchase white Label product of the software !! The Cost will be passed to whom completely to NEPSE or other actors of the NEPSE. Require a clear conclusion with regards to Financial and Complaince.

5. How will be modus of Operandi ??

6. When the API will be integrated with Multiple Depository Participant & Broker Terminal !!


Lots of hurdle i see it technically !!



Lets hope all these things are sorted out !!

NEPSE WILL PROVIDE THESE FACILITY ONLY IN PANATI'S ERA.

Automatic clearing, intra day settlement issues were not on TOR of online trading. It is just for automatic placment of buy and sell orders. Hopefully Nepse will provide these facilities in 4-5 yrs.

If there is no facility for automatic settlement and intra-day trading, its rubbish.
You have to go to Dhitopatra Dalal office to give DIS and to take cheque. Settlement will be in T+3 days.

Till now, during depression, when some one approach broker to sell, broker says they cant sell at that price so need to lower price.

During boom, when somebody wants to buy, broker says, we cant get share at that price so need to increase price.

When there is online, Market will become less volatile.


When there is online, NRN will increase investment significantly, with or without NRN law. Today, they dont trust others to do quick decision for them Plus they dont want to disclose their wealth. After Online, they will do trading themselves. So investment will go up significantly of NRN too.

online trading will eradicate manipulation and syndicate to some extent.
Lets give pressure to bring the full fledged online system within the stipulated time.
